In addition, they also offer the custom fabrication (adapted to client specifications) and sales of truck mounted attenuators (TMA) and trailers, utilizing the TrafFix Scorpion product line. These devices provide critical collision impact control for the protection of workers, motorists and equipment during road construction projects. The company has an immediate need for an Inside Parts Salesperson.

Summary Description:

The objective of this role is to take direct parts requests and orders from clients via phone calls and/or emails and facilitate the order from start to finish. The chosen candidate would be fielding incoming phone calls, processing payments, replenishing inventory, maintaining vendor and customer relationships, and tracking the in-and-out flow of inventory from our stock. Other responsibilities may be requested should the need arise.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and sell products to repair problems and meet the customer's needs.
  • Record sales and/or customer transactions that occur by following company’s policies and procedures.
  • Controls inventory to ensure counts are correct and minimum stock levels are maintained. Follow up on shortages and expedite as needed with approval of Vice President.
  • Processes parts orders, follows prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the company.
  • Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required for parts sales.
  • Attends training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description.
  • Uses company equipment and resources safely and proficiently.
  • Keeps himself/herself groomed and clothed per the company guidelines.
  • Verify receiving documents.
  • Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns and make sure the problem is corrected to the customer and company’s satisfaction
  • Greet and assist walk in customers immediately in a courteous manner.
  • Treat customers fairly and with honesty, and demonstrate our commitment to superior customer service and ethical business practices
  • Work with Production Manager to keep parts storage area clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of related experience or heavy truck parts experience preferred.
  • Should be knowledgeable in merchandising.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Outlook, preferred
  • Ability to speak effectively one on one
  • Ability to effectively listen
  • Ability to interpret customer needs
  • Basic computer skills (web research for parts)
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
